Yes. Frequency of use or intensity of use is not a determinant for licensing the software. Anyone using the applications must be licensed, based on the user type designated for that application.
- If my Institute's faculty and student population grows and no longer meets the minimum, do I need to purchase additional licenses to meet the minimum?
If your employee population grows by 10% or more and no longer meets the minimum licensing requirement, you are required to purchase incremental licenses to satisfy the minimum licensing requirement of 10% Professional Users. However, at any such time the company has incremental users using the application, they must be licensed.
- Do I need to have any other database or software to store the data?
No, you do not need any other database or software to store the data. Exam software does not need any back-end database. Smart Examination Suite writes the encrypted data into a file. When student takes the test, Smart Examination Suite writes the data into another file. Everything is file based. To backup your data, you just need to backup these files.
- Can I move question bank from one computer to other?
Yes, it is very easy. As all your questions are stored in exam file, you can just copy exam file to other computer along with any attached graphics and audio/video files. Our competitors use third party database product to store the data and moving database from one computer to other becomes very complex task for the end user. To solve this problem we decided to write the data in exam file and files can be moved very easily from one computer to other computer.
- Does Smart Examination Suite produce unique examination every time?
Yes, when you open exam file and start examination, Smart Examination Suite selects the questions randomly to generate unique sequence of questions. However you can turn off
random selection in security settings. Further, Exam Software gives you ability to merge the questions from different exam files, import from plain text files and allows you to print your question bank.

You can create question paper and put the exam file on the network server. 25 students can simultaneously open the exam file from server in Exam Mode and take the examination. There will be 25 Student's Answer Sheet files, one for each student. These Student's Answer Sheet files will be created on the server because your exam file is on the server. Thus you will get centralized administration of the examination. Later you can import Student's Answer Sheet into exam records file, where you can query the exam records for highest score or lowest score. You can take print out of exam records of individual student or all the students.
